I must eat crow, whatever the case or your saying might be in your neck of the woods. I e-mailed Goodwill of Knoxville and the vice president of operations actually wrote back. She was really nice, and she told me to take it back and get my money back. Yay!! I admit it isn't much money, but it is to me right now. *Dances around a little and yawns.* I took it back and the manager was real nice about everything, while a certain sales clerk that will remain nameless *COUGHVickiCOUGH.* was a certifiable bitch. I can say this, when the first words in greeting me in the store weren't "How may I help you??". No, it was "What are you doing??". Like it was any of her business... >.> Thank goodness Mom was there to help, cause I have trouble with people (I would say social anxiety disorder, but the shrink says there's no such thing. Don't mob me, it's just several different things with a rather long name set. Social anxiety disorder is like a layman's term. ^_^). ...forget the consumer. If you don't know what I'm rambling on about now, it would be Goodwill Industries. You know, the chain of thrift stores that allow for sometimes decent deals, but screw you if they tell you the thing is going to work only to get home and find that it doesn't... >.>;; I've read where a lot of them DO allow returns within a certain time frame and hooray for them. Unfortunately, that don't help me one lick. I bought a TV there, cause it had the A/V jacks I needed in the back. They took it back, told me it worked, and even knock 5 bucks off the price. Well, watching with a converter box is like watching TV through smoke glass and the A/V jacks are crap. I guess you can tell where the rest of this is going, huh?? So, I'll spare you the details. I'm glad they are a charity that helps poorer people, but I don't think it should give them a right to sell shit and say, "Ha!! It's your problem now!!" (even though they didn't say this literally) Well, thanks for listening whoever did and I'm sorry you had to sit through it. I just had to air myself on a more public and international stage.
